The UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) estimates that between 14,200 and 14,400 people, including at least 3,400 civilians, were killed from April 14, 2014, to December 31, 2021, following Russia's annexation of Crimea. As of 2024, Russian attacks have resulted in 11,000 to 40,000 civilian deaths in Ukraine.
