Dima, whose full name is Dmitry Valerievich Lashko, was born on May 7, 1983, and hails from Vuhledar. His life has been marked by profound personal tragedy and resilience. In 2022, Dima lost his entire first family, including his parents, brother, and wife, to the war. He buried his wife in Dnipro, while the rest of his family remains in Vuhledar, a place he can no longer visit due to the ongoing conflict.
Despite these losses, Dima found love again and recently married Ina on February 17, 2024. He deeply loves her and is devoted to her two children, whom he considers his own. Dima joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine (ZSU) in 2022 and has been actively serving since, facing numerous hardships and injuries in the line of duty.
Dima's story is one of incredible strength and dedication, both as a soldier and as a family man, navigating the devastating impacts of war while building a new life with his second family.
