Over the past few years, the UK has become one of the leading box office markets worldwide with its films have grown to account for almost 25 per cent of global box office revenues.
London is where most of the UK film industry works, with 13% of the UK population it is home to 55% of the UK's film companies, which leaves no doubt that filmed entertainment has become an essential driver of economic growth and a key cultural export alike.
‘V for Victory’ is a short film aiming to introduce a 40-page script that narrates the story of V. V is a non-binary rights advocate in search of social equality for individuals who are non-conformist towards the Hetero patriarchal man-woman gender binary paradigm says its director Miguel Ramos. VX Pictures was given access in behind the scenes settings in late October 2021. Director Ramos said that this is a shorter version of the script, in which they'll dig into the 2 events that shaped V’s (featured character) gender identity: a psychological doctor’s gender assessment conducted ten years ago and the moment that V’s lover (and boss) asked them to take action against their genitals six years after, which in the view of director Ramos it is "a selfish way to satisfy his conservative beliefs."
