The UK has a rich history that spans over thousands of years, from the prehistoric era to the present day. It has been home to various civilizations and cultures, including the Celtic tribes, Roman Empire, Anglo-Saxon kingdoms, and the British Empire.
Since becoming a naturalised British citizen, I have had the opportunity to learn more about this fascinating country and its diverse people. As a photojournalist, I have been covering various events and issues in the UK since 2017, ranging from political protests and social movements to cultural festivals and sporting events.
I am excited to continue covering the UK's important events and sharing its stories with the world for years to come.

265 galleriesEngland in 2020 was a year marked by significant social and political developments that had a profound impact on the nation. The year began with the country grappling with the effects of Brexit, as the United Kingdom officially withdrew from the European Union on January 31, 2020. This historic moment was followed by a period of uncertainty as the country negotiated its new relationship with the EU and faced the challenges of forging new trade deals and agreements. In addition to Brexit, the year was also defined by the COVID-19 pandemic, which swept across the globe and had a devastating impact on communities and economies around the world. England was no exception, and the country faced a series of lockdowns and restrictions as it worked to contain the spread of the virus and protect its citizens. Alongside these major events, England also experienced significant social and political developments, including the Black Lives Matter movement, which gained momentum following the death of George Floyd in the United States. Protests and demonstrations took place across the country, with many calling for an end to systemic racism and police brutality. In the realm of politics, 2020 saw significant changes as well, with the resignation of long-standing Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn, and the subsequent election of Keir Starmer as his replacement. The year also saw controversy surrounding the government's handling of the pandemic, with criticism over its response to the crisis and calls for greater accountability and transparency. Overall, England in 2020 was a year of significant change and challenge, with the country facing a range of social, political, and economic issues that will continue to shape its future in the years to come. As a photojournalist, I had the privilege of being in England during this transformative year and witnessing the social and political developments firsthand. Despite the challenges posed by my foot injury, sustained in August 2019, I was still able to cover these important events and document the changes unfolding in the country. From protests against racial injustice to the ongoing Brexit negotiations and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, 2020 was a year of significant change and upheaval in England, and I was honoured to have the opportunity to capture these moments through my lens.
